Dr Raj Parekh
Raj Parekh is a General Partner at Advent Venture Partners. He has over 20 years of international experience in the biotechnology industry. In 1988 he co-founded Oxford GlycoSciences, one of the most successful venture-backed European Biotechnology companies, where he was Chief Scientific Officer. He was instrumental in the flotation of OGS on the London Stock Exchange in 1998, on NASDAQ in 2000 and its subsequent sale to Celltech plc.
He has served on the Board of many biotech companies, and is currently also Chairman of Galapagos nv and a founding Director of Celldex Inc.
Raj has a PhD in molecular medicine from Oxford University.
